"Mommy, can I stop being a Lawson?"
My daughter has a peanut allergy. We always kept an EpiPen at home.
But on her birthday, my husband took the only one and gave it to his first love's son.
He said, "Tommy's school has a field trip. Serena's worried something might happen. What's the big deal about lending it?"
Later, my daughter accidentally ate peanut butter. Her face turned blue and she couldn't breathe.
I rushed her to the hospital and called my husband seventeen times.
He didn't answer.
