Denied Surgery by My Surgeon Mother

My sister drove drunk and crashed the car with me inside.

While my life hung by a thread in the trauma bay, my mother, one of the country's top trauma surgeons, refused to treat me.

Instead, she rushed off to tend to my sister's scraped knee.
