On my daughter’s sixth birthday, my husband didn't order her favorite custom princess cake. Instead, he had a flatbed truck deliver a hundred pounds of fresh cilantro to the estate.
All because our daughter, severely allergic to cilantro, had refused to eat a single bite of the cilantro-lime ribeye steak her step-sister had deliberately grilled for the birthday dinner.
In retaliation, he ordered his men to pry her small mouth open and force-feed her handful after handful of the herb. He livestreamed the entire ordeal to my phone, forcing me to watch.
