"An abortion is incredibly hard on your body," the doctor said, her voice soft but heavy with professional concern as we stood outside the surgical suite. "If there’s any way you can keep the pregnancy, you should consider it. Are you sure you don’t want to talk this over with your husband first?"
I pulled out my phone and stared at the screen, my fingers trembling slightly. I pulled up my thread with Greg and typed out a single sentence.
I’m at the hospital. I’m planning to terminate the pregnancy.
