I Shut Down My Sister's Store

I am a senior brand standards auditor for a national beverage franchise. When corporate ran its quarterly lottery to select locations for surprise audits, my sister’s store was drawn.

To keep things unbiased, I grabbed a discount voucher on our mobile app and went in undercover.

But after I stood in line for three hours, the kid at the register kept skipping my number.

I swallowed my rising anger and asked him what the delay was. He didn't even look up, just rolled his eyes.
