On my wedding day, I rode to the venue in the back of a dingy yellow cab.
After the bridal party had finished packing into the fleet of sleek town cars, my fiancée, Lauren, stepped in front of the lead limousine, blocking my path.
"Let Jared have this one, Sean. I’ll call you an Uber."
I froze, the morning sun glinting off my polished dress shoes, suddenly feeling entirely out of place.
Lauren didn’t even blink as she continued. "Jared’s a committed bachelor. He’s never going to get married, but he really wanted to know what it feels like to experience a real wedding procession."
