My Perfect Wife, My Brother's Secret Lover

When I'm 14, my father beats me until my ears ring. It's my brother, Gideon West, and Kate Calloway who step in front of me, shielding me with a knife in hand.

When I turn 18, the two of them fight their way into the legal world, all so they can put my father behind bars and take me away from him.

At 21, on my wedding day, Gideon forces Kate to swear an oath in front of me.

"You will never betray my brother. If you do, I'll make sure you leave the marriage with nothing. And if that isn't enough, I'll kill you myself."

For the next eight years, Kate becomes the model wife everyone admires.
