No Longer Your Favorite Prank

Trevor and Kendra were natural partners in cruelty, and I was their favorite punchline.

One night while I was fast asleep, they dumped a container of squeaking feeder mice onto my bed. The rodents clawed and nibbled at my bare skin in the dark. The next morning, I stood in front of the mirror sobbing, my arms and collarbones covered in angry red scratches and tiny bite marks. Trevor and Kendra clutched their stomachs, practically doubled over in laughter.

"Look at her face, Trev!" Kendra howled, pointing at me. "She looks completely unhinged. That was priceless."
