Abstract

John Mails enlisted in Michigan and fought in numerous battles from the east all the way south to Jackson and Vicksburg Mississippi. He was captured and spent time in four Confederate prison camps including the infamous Andersonville in southern Georgia. There his every moment was spent trying to survive and help others whenever possible.

There he saw, firsthand, man's inhumanity to man. Amazingly he also found a relationship with God that would become the base for the rest of his life.

This is a catalogue, not a library. Each entry records what the publisher told us about a title — author, length, status — together with any sample chapters they allow to be read here. For the manuscript itself we point you to the official reading app; nothing beyond the samples is stored on this site.
