When she was finally certain that Luke Jefferson would never fall in love with her, Raine Stone asked for a divorce and left with Zach Jefferson, their son.
After the divorce, the usually aloof Luke abruptly started trying to win her heart back.
He was no longer as cold as before, and he started to beg for her forgiveness by blocking Raine’s path. During his breaks, he spent time with Zach and prepared all sorts of surprise gifts.
He even protected them and shielded them when a robber tried to stab them, leading to him spending some time close to death’s door.
