Abstract

I was born to be the ultimate rule-follower.

I followed rules so strictly that everyone, even my own mother, called me a rigid freak.

In elementary school, the policy was: "No entry without a school uniform." One day, my mom lied and told me my uniform shirt got lost in the laundry. I stood outside the school gates for two days and two nights. I refused to walk inside until she bought me a new one.

In middle school, my English teacher fainted in the middle of a lesson. I led the entire class in strictly adhering to the "0% head-raising rule during independent study."
