Trapped In The Rainy Night

Rowan Pierce despised inconvenience.

From something as trivial as picking up my iced latte on his way home.

To something as vital as reviewing my resume before a major job interview.

He always acted like I was asking for the moon.

But when it came to my younger sister.

He could spend four grueling hours carrying her shopping bags around the mall.

He could stay up for three consecutive nights mapping out her entire career trajectory.

Until one night, during a massive torrential downpour.

I was stranded under a leaking bus shelter.
