I knew what game she was playing.

So I just stood there and let her hold onto me,performing her masterful crying act.

But when I didn't push her away like I usually did,she suddenly gasped,“I can't breathe,”and collapsed in a soft heap at my feet.

“Sera!”

“Get the family doctor,now!Seraphina,my daughter!”

Everyone rushed over,surrounding her in a panic.

Damian's eyes were bloodshot with fury.He grabbed me by the neck.“Aurora Sterling,you dare to touch Seraphina again?Did you think I'd never lay a hand on you?!”

I realized that when you're truly speechless,you just laugh.

I didn't even bother to touch her.

And yet,I was still the one who“hurt”her.

“Damian,I hope you all don't regret this one day.”

“Guards!”my father roared,pointing at me.“Lock her in the wine cellar!Let her think about what she's done!”
