Chapter 3

The next morning, before my alarm could even go off, I was woken up by a barrage of notification sounds.

I picked up my phone and saw that Hailey had posted screenshots of our chat on the forum.

"Chloe, I will never give Dustin up to you."

The comments were filled with mockery.

I frowned. How did Hailey leak my real name?

Just then, Dusty replied under her post, passionately expressing his love and loyalty.

"Babe, I will never let a scheming woman like her steal me away. My love for you runs too deep. She doesn't stand a chance."

One comment caught my eye:

"I can't believe I'm witnessing true love in a video game. I'm crying tears of envy. Harper is so lucky to have a rich guy like Dusty be so loyal to her."

I slowly typed a question mark in my mind and reported the post without hesitation.

"Guys, stop laughing at Luna. Dusty is rich and handsome. Anyone would fall for him."

So they all misunderstood my message.

But is Dustin really handsome?

Every single photo he posted on the forum was heavily airbrushed. Not a single blemish was left.

What a scheming man.

During our "relationship," Dustin often sent me his heavily edited photos.

But one day, he accidentally sent me a picture of himself lying in bed with a condom in his mouth.

In the photo, he was shirtless, covered in thick chest hair, and unshaven. He looked like a complete creep.

Disgusting and eyesearing.

I was shocked for a second and instinctively took a screenshot.

He unsent the photo almost immediately.

I didn't know what possessed him to take such a photo, but I was sure he had sent it to me by mistake.

Since he loved posting on the forum so much, I figured I’d join the fun.

I created a new thread and used that accidental photo as the cover image.

The title was:

"Your handsome, rich prince actually likes to pose with condoms in his mouth?"

I even kindly pixelated his nipples.

Even though it was early morning, there were plenty of drama lovers online.

Not long after the post went live, the views skyrocketed.

Dustin’s forum status showed he was "Online." I bet he was looking at it right then.

I couldn't help but chuckle.

Ruining lives with class—it was my specialty.

I quickly got into the right mindset, packed my things, and headed to the exam center.

Soon, the morning exam was over.

As soon as I walked out of the school gates, a reporter stopped me.

He asked curiously, "Excuse me, which university are you planning to attend?"

Before I could speak, someone nearby yelled, "Do you even need to ask? Chloe is the top student in our school! Her grades are incredible. She’s definitely going to NYU!"

The crowd went wild.

Several people gathered around to watch, quickly blocking the pathway.

My desk mate, Riley, who was standing beside me, helped clear the air:

"Actually... Chloe has already been accepted to NYU through Early Decision."

The crowd began whispering and gossiping.

"If she’s already accepted, why is she even taking the exams?"

I said calmly, "Just for formalities."

The crowd was stunned again. The reporters who were squeezed out of the inner circle quickly recorded this moment.

I guess I flexed a bit too hard there.
