My Housekeeper's Son Stole My Identity

Chapter 1

5,036 words

After Tyler, my nanny’s son, slept with my eighth strategic fiancée under the guise of "testing her loyalty," I had enough.

I called off all business-aligned dates and decided to date like a normal person.

Today, I had just bought my girlfriend an iced coffee when Tyler snatched it out of my hand and threw it straight into the trash.

He pulled out a cup of warm chamomile tea and handed it to my girlfriend, Chloe, with a greasy smile.

"You shouldn't drink iced stuff during your time of the month. Hot chamomile tea is much better for your body."

When I stepped in and coldly stopped him, he snapped and yelled at me in front of everyone.

"I was just doing you a favor by testing your girlfriend's loyalty! You think I actually want to steal your girl?"

If I hadn't been reborn, I might have believed him.

But now, I took the hot tea and splashed it right onto his face.

"Isn't stealing other men's girls your favorite hobby? You're just a nanny's son, yet you had the nerve to steal my identity and my woman. You've completely forgotten your place."

"Keep your head down and stay in line, or I’ll kick you and your mother out of my house today."

The moment I said that, the colleagues around us started whispering and gossiping.

Tyler’s face turned pale, a flicker of pure disbelief in his eyes.

He probably never expected that I, the guy who used to treat him like a real brother, would talk to him so harshly today.

The tea dripped down his cheeks. He hurriedly wiped his face, looking panicked and angry. "Logan, how can you say that to me? I was just trying to protect you!

You almost married eight different women before this! If it weren't for me helping you filter them out, you wouldn't have found a girl as sweet as Chloe!"

The crowd around us began to murmur, and Chloe’s face darkened instantly.

Tyler’s words were highly misleading. He wanted everyone to think I was a player with a messy dating history.

I didn't hold back. I fired right back.

"Didn't you end up sleeping with all eight of them under the guise of a 'loyalty test'? I didn't even hold their hands. But you're right about one thing—I was blind to ever call you my brother."

Tyler is my nanny’s son. When we were kids, my parents were always busy with business, so my nanny and Tyler spent the most time with me.

I always treated them like family. I shared everything with Tyler. Every time I got something good, he was the first person I thought of.

I let him drive my supercars and wear my luxury watches whenever he wanted to flex. Even if he broke them, I never asked him to pay.

But I treated him like a brother, and he treated me like a giant ATM.

In my past life, he envied my status as the heir to the Miller Group. He hated that I lived a better life than him.

So, he teamed up with his mother, who was still our live-in nanny, to steal highly confidential project files from my father's safe.

They cooperated with the families of my eight ex-fiancées, hijacked our project, and framed my dad, sending him to prison.

Eventually, our company was split up and devoured by them. My mom couldn't handle the trauma and took her own life.

And I was beaten to death by loan sharks in a dark alley.

Right before I died, Tyler stepped on my face and whispered the whole truth to me.

From beginning to end, Tyler was nothing but an ungrateful parasite. He was in my past life, and he still is in this one.

Looking at his face now, I wanted nothing more than to rip it to pieces.

But because of how much I used to tolerate him, Tyler didn't seem to take my sarcasm seriously.

He patted my shoulder, adopting a lecturing tone. "Logan, I get it. You feel insecure, and you want to look strong in front of your girlfriend. But you can't just make up lies to frame me!

I'm a one-woman guy. I'm not like you, always jumping from one girl to another. When I love someone, I give them my entire heart."

As he spoke, he looked deeply into Chloe's eyes, as if she were the only person in his world.

Chloe’s cheeks flushed slightly.

My heart sank, and my fists clenched.

No wonder Tyler managed to steal all those girls from me. He relied entirely on this pathetic "deeply in love" act.

It was sickening. Rage boiled inside me. I couldn't control myself anymore and punched him right in his hypocritical face.

But Chloe quickly stepped in front of him, spreading her arms to shield him. "Logan! We are all friends here! Don't be so violent!

Besides, Tyler was just looking out for you. Don't worry, I won't let other men tempt me. I'm not the kind of gold-digger who ruins her life for money."

She sounded so righteous. But I knew the moment she chose to protect Tyler, she was already on the path to his bed, just like the other eight.

Hearing Chloe defend him, Tyler smiled triumphantly. "See, Logan? You're too hot-headed. You really need to fix that temper of yours. Otherwise, what kind of girl could ever stand you?"

He winked at me, his eyes full of smugness.

It looked like Tyler had succeeded again.

But it didn't matter. He wouldn't be celebrating for long.
