Chapter 1

I was scrolling through Reddit while eating breakfast.

A title caught my eye: 【Documenting how my wife dies today.】

I thought it was just some idiot writing creative fiction and was about to swipe away.

But the very first sentence froze me in my tracks.

【She should be finished with breakfast by now, the one I personally made for her. What she doesn't know is that I slipped something into her milk.】

I looked down at the glass in my hand.

Empty.

I had just finished it.

My fingers trembled slightly as I scrolled down.

【In three hours, she will drive to pick up our daughter. I tampered with her brake lines. They will completely fail when she crosses the bay bridge.】

【There are no cameras on that stretch of the road, no emergency lane, and the bridge is ninety feet above the water. She can't swim.】

【Once she’s dead, everyone will think it was just a tragic accident.】

【I will be the heartbroken husband, clutching her photo and sobbing until I pass out. Everyone will pity me.】
