The Billionaire's Double Falling for the Black Widow
CH. 03
Chapter 3
An hour later, I was lying on the king-sized bed in my private office lounge, catching my breath.
I couldn't help but marvel at Julian Vance’s incredible life.
At night, he had a goddess like Serena waiting for him.
During the day, he had a beautiful secretary like Lily throwing herself at him.
Having money really meant you could have whatever you wanted.
When my shift ended, I went back to the villa.
Mrs. Gable took my coat and poured my tea as usual.
But just as I was about to relax and scroll through TikTok, Serena wrapped her arms around my neck from behind.
"How does it feel to live like a billionaire?"
I froze. The teacup in my hand slipped, shattering on the hardwood floor.
I turned around, staring at her in sheer terror.
Serena let out a beautiful, dangerous laugh.
"Am I delicious?"
"You..."
My cover was blown?
Since when?
How did she find out?
Serena seemed to read my mind. She waved her hand, dismissing Mrs. Gable who had rushed over to clean up the broken glass.
"I’ve been Julian Vance’s wife for six years."
"No matter how much you look like him, you aren't him."
"What do you want?" I asked, my voice trembling.
I expected her to be furious, but instead, the beautiful woman slowly walked over and sat right on my lap.
"Now that you’ve tasted this life, do you really want to go back to being a broke nobody?"
"Have you ever thought about... replacing him permanently?"
"That way, you can keep me, and you can keep playing around with your little secretary at the office."
Even though Serena was smiling, my scalp felt like it was about to explode.
How did she know about Lily too?
But since she hadn't exposed me to the public yet, it meant I was still useful to her.
This was my only chance to survive.
"What do you want me to do?"
Once my brain started working again, I forced myself to calm down.
A flash of surprise crossed Serena’s eyes.
"Perfect. I knew I chose the right man."
"From now on, I want you to be the real Julian Vance!"
In an instant, I understood her plan.
"That’s impossible! Once Mr. Vance comes back, everything will fall apart!"
"Besides, I’m a real person. If I suddenly vanish, won't the police investigate my disappearance?"
Serena gracefully pulled out a slim cigarette and lit it.
She blew a neat ring of smoke and smirked. "What if Julian Vance never comes back?"
Is she planning to...
No, that’s insane!
That’s murder!
My breathing turned shallow and rapid.
On one side was temptation, whispering for me to agree—to live a life of luxury with a beautiful woman and unlimited wealth.
On the other side was my sanity, reminding me that if we got caught, I would spend the rest of my life in a cold prison cell.
After a long, agonizing silence, I looked at her with bloodshot eyes and licked my dry lips.
"How do I know I can trust you?"
Seeing that I had taken the bait, Serena planted a satisfied kiss on my cheek.
"I’m taking you somewhere tomorrow night. Once you see what’s there, you’ll know you made the right choice."
The next morning, I called one of my old coworkers.
"Hey, who is this?"
"Leo, it’s me, Luke."
"Stop bullshitting me! Luke is sitting right next to me. Scammers really need to check their timing."
I froze.
Unable to believe what I was hearing, I drove straight to my old office building.
Peering through the glass window, I saw someone sitting in my exact cubicle.
It was a man who looked exactly like me!
My old identity... had been stolen?
The next second, the man suddenly raised his head. He looked straight at me and flashed a chilling, meaningful smile...
