Throwing Away My Cheating CEO Wife
CH. 01
Chapter 1
My CEO wife, Chloe, said her assistant Julian's car was broken and asked to borrow mine.
I had several cars sitting in my garage that I rarely used, so I agreed.
A week later, when Julian returned the car, I found a patch of suspicious fluid on the baby car seat in the back.
He looked at me with a smug expression.
"Yesterday, Chloe and I went to a gala. She had a few too many drinks, and... well, we lost control."
"She's a female CEO. It's normal for her to have a boy toy on the side. You're getting up there in age, Ethan. You probably can't satisfy her anyway."
My brows furrowed as I watched the dashcam footage on my phone, which showed them passionately kissing. A wave of intense disgust washed over me.
Julian continued, "If it bothers you, I can take it to the car wash tomorrow."
I picked up a hammer from the garage shelf and smashed it into the car window.
"I don't want a dirty car. And I sure as hell don't want a dirty woman."
Julian stumbled backward, utterly terrified.
Then, I pulled out my phone and called our partners, immediately halting a pending three-hundred-million-dollar deal with Chloe's company.
It didn't take long for my phone to start blowing up with calls from Chloe.
But my secretary blocked every single one of them. "I'm sorry, Ms. Miller, but Mr. Vance is currently in a meeting."
A short while later, Chloe stormed into my office, her high heels clicking loudly against the marble floor. She slammed her hand down on my desk.
"Ethan, have you lost your mind? That's a three-hundred-million-dollar contract! Just because of a stupid game of Truth or Dare, you're going to ruin my company?!"
The usually elegant, poised Ms. Chloe Miller looked like an out-of-control shrew, all for the sake of another man.
I put down the financial report I was holding and looked at her twisted, furious face.
"You have exactly fifteen minutes left."
Ten minutes later, Chloe sent me a photo.
The interior of the BMW was being professionally detailed, restored to its pristine condition.
I immediately notified my international department. "Proceed with the signing as scheduled."
Then, I sent Chloe a photo in return.
Her prized designer gown was trampled on the floor, and her favorite custom high heels were soaking in a filthy mop bucket.
"Chloe, consider this a game of Truth or Dare too. Remember my boundaries. This is just a warning. If you provoke me again, you won't like the consequences."
There was dead silence from Chloe's end.
I knew she was probably burning with rage right now.
But I was even angrier.
Years ago, our marriage was arranged by our families, but she was the one who drove it forward. She was also the one who rejected the idea of an open marriage, insisting we stay faithful.
In our six years of marriage, we went from mutual respect to deep affection.
Especially after our son, Leo, was born. I poured all my energy into our family, helping both the Vance and Miller families thrive.
I thought we would support each other until retirement.
But she was the one who shattered our happy, stable life.
Temporarily freezing that three-hundred-million-dollar deal was merely a shot across her bow.
