After a Bar Host Impersonated My Heir, I Took Over the Family and Silenced Them All
CH. 02
Chapter 2
“Me, the young master of the Hayes family, liking a male escort? Do you think my standards are as pathetic as yours?”
I was so furious that I actually laughed.
Brandon Reed hurriedly stepped forward, his face flushed.
“At the time, I felt sorry for you, so I brought you home from the bar and made you my driver. I never expected you to have those kinds of feelings for me and keep harassing me!”
“I’m straight. Because I rejected you, you brought out this trashy photo to slander me!”
“I even kept tolerating you because I felt sorry for you.”
Brandon Reed spoke one sentence after another, making everything sound completely believable.
My two sisters shielded him behind them with heartbroken expressions, glaring at me viciously.
“Someone as disgusting as you dares to pretend to be the heir of the Hayes family?” my older sister said before spitting at me.
The three of them twisted the truth, and the guests around us began whispering as well, their gazes filled with disgust and contempt.
“No wonder he used to work as a KTV bartender. I never thought he could be so filthy-minded, repaying Brandon’s kindness like this.”
“What a disgusting piece of trash. Just looking at him makes me want to wash my eyes.”
“He failed to seduce Brandon, so he started impersonating him and spreading rumors. Look at that cheap, poor-person aura. How does he even dare?”
...
With so many people backing him up, Brandon Reed straightened his back and gathered all his strength to kick me.
I swiftly dodged, and he ended up performing a full split in front of everyone.
A ripping sound rang out, revealing his red lace underwear. Brandon Reed quickly clamped his legs together and pointed at me in humiliation and rage.
“Lucas Hayes!”
Several people in the crowd nearly laughed out loud, but my older sister glared at them harshly. My younger sister quickly wrapped her shawl around Brandon Reed.
“I’ll say it one more time! I’m the real heir to the Hayes family!” I looked around and declared each word with force.
Unexpectedly, someone suddenly charged out of the crowd and punched me in the corner of the mouth.
“You fake! How dare you bully Brandon!”
“Lucas Hayes, you lied to us in college and claimed you were the young master of the Hayes family. Give me a break. With that pathetic, broke look of yours, wearing twenty-dollar clothes from Wish every day and eating ten-dollar cafeteria meals, how did you even have the nerve?”
The person who hit me was my college roommate, Tyler Brooks, who had always disliked me.
My father died during my freshman year, and my mother and sisters began mistreating me and cut off all my cards. I could only support myself through part-time jobs, and Tyler bullied me in every way because he thought I was poor.
Later, during my junior year, my sisters brought Brandon Reed home, and my situation became even more difficult.
I could not eat properly or afford decent clothes, and they would not even let me return home during winter or summer break. Even when I did go back, I could only serve as a member of the Hayes household staff.
Meanwhile, my sisters took Brandon Reed to all kinds of high-end places, presenting him as the young master of the Hayes family.
Tyler’s family owned a small diner, and he thought helping Brandon vent his anger would earn him a chance to work with the Hayes family. He was practically begging to become Brandon’s pathetic sycophant.
He had no idea he had provoked the real young master.
I showed him no mercy, kicking him hard and stomping on his fingers.
“You actually dared to hit me! Do you know who I am?” Tyler Brooks asked in disbelief.
I pressed down harder with my foot, and Tyler screamed in pain.
“Damn, damn, damn! Let go! Let go!”
My older sister quickly ordered the security guards to pull me away, finally freeing Tyler’s fingers.
“Everyone, look at him. Can someone this violent really be the heir to the Hayes family? The Hayes family is a respected dynasty. Their descendants should naturally be refined and elegant like Brandon!” Tyler shouted at the surrounding guests while clutching his fingers.
His knuckles were nearly deformed, yet instead of rushing to the hospital, he was still trying to flatter Brandon.
“As everyone knows, we only have one younger brother, and the Hayes family only has one heir. Lucas, stop embarrassing yourself and get on your knees to apologize to Brandon!” my younger sister ordered, planting her hands on her hips.
I looked toward Emily Carter in the crowd, my childhood sweetheart. We had grown up together.
I strode toward her and said:
“Emily, you know who I am. Help me prove it.”
