Bridesmaid At My Second Wedding

Three years ago, the wedding that was supposed to be the highlight of the New York social season became my public execution.

My ex, Quentin, didn’t just leave me at the altar; he replaced me. In front of eight hundred guests, he announced a change of plans, a change of brides, and a total erasure of my dignity. I shattered that day. For a long time, the only thing I lived with was a crippling, suffocating depression that felt like drowning in slow motion.

Then came Gideon. He stepped into my life like a sunrise in a dark room.
