Guardians From Above

As the dean of educational and student affairs, my mom had always been strict about me and my brother’s conduct since we were young, keeping records of our every move.

Want to eat? Memorize your textbook first.

Want to buy stationary? Score full marks at your next test.

My brother could never achieve anything, and I was always the one receiving all the rewards.

I always thought that my mom treated us fairly.

Until the day I was supposed to submit my college application, when my mom said I had to apply for a college of education to get a new phone.
