I had worked on Ronan Shaw’s cars for seven years.

From the days when my phone was always smeared with motor oil to the day I became one of the top custom tuners in the country, I was there for all of it.

The year he won the national championship, I asked him once, “Can I sit in your passenger seat just one time? Just one run down Mount Akina?”

He didn’t even stop wiping his wrench.
