She Promoted Me, But I Quit

When my CEO wife, Rita Scanlond, decided to promote me as the lead in a project, I was not grateful for the offer, and I slapped every single board member present. I gave up the six‑figure salary and returned home to enjoy my life.

Everyone believed I had gone crazy from immense pressure and demanded that a rebellious employee like me be fired.

Rita's assistant, Hudson Cobb, made fun of me for not having any ambition and tried to replace me in the company.

I laughed at the situation even though I was not compensated for being fired.
