The Donna He Buried Came Back with a Paintbrush and a Vendetta

Ferran Moretti—Don of the Moretti family, and my husband—ordered me, before the five great families, to paint him entwined in bed with his mistress, Nina Lombardi.

The eighteenth such humiliation.

I finished the portrait, face like stone, and quoted my price: three million.

He slid divorce papers across the table, promising I could stay on as his mistress once Nina was settled.

The room hungered for my collapse.

But I signed. His smile vanished.

"You're serious?" I nodded.

"May you and Nina be together forever."

Three years had been enough. I will never spare you again, Ferran.
