The Wife They Buried, The Love He Never Knew

As my unborn child was being taken from me, my husband—the most feared mafia boss in the city—was nowhere near me.

He was out buying gifts for the woman he called his “lost, everlasting love.”

His last words to me were filled with disgust.

“What is it this time? Another one of your lies? Stay away from me. Even if you’re dying—don’t you dare call me again.”

A week later, the underworld was shaken by a gruesome case.

A pregnant woman was found dismembered—carefully staged, brutally precise. A message. A warning. A declaration of war.

Everyone thought it was a rival family’s revenge.
